Former chairman of Roger Williams University Ralph Papitto admits that the "N-word" slipped out of his mouth during a board of trustees meeting when discussing the difficulties of trying to find minorities to serve on the school's board.

I guess it's more believable that a single word could slip out of an 80 year old man's mouth, compared to something like... "nappy headed ho's." While I'm not out to condemn a man who admitted a mistake, nor do I necessarily want to delve into his intentions for stepping down from his role at the university, I think that there's a hole in the man's story.

What I do adamantly believe is one of the worst lies I have ever read, is this quotation from Papitto printed by the Associated Press:
"Papitto, who has given the school at least $7 million and whose name is on the only law school in Rhode Island, said he had never used the term before.

"The first time I heard it was on television or rap music or something," he told WPRO."

I don't really know what kind of TV Mr. Papitto is watching, but maybe the guy loves watching uncensored Dave Chappelle comedy shows that air on late night Comedy Central. Maybe the guy loves listening to Tupac, but I just find this really hard to believe that an 80 year old man heard the "N-word" for the first time in life from a rap song, a genre that's really only been around in its current form for the past 20-30 years or so.
You lying, but "I ain't mad at cha'"

Kids and their rap music...

Eh, I guess now that I see these icons next to each other, it's a little more believable.
