Preston Burke [Isaiah Washington] fired from Grey's Anatomy

After Washington's homophobic comments sparked outrage within the cast and throughout the entertainment world, this TV surgeon has been canned.

Not the chief. Not even demoted to an intern on a crappy Grey's spinoff.

I wonder how hard it is going to be for Washington to find a new gig at this point. From the top show on TV, to temporary unemployment, must be rough. Ah well, the guy still has more money than I'll make in my lifetime.

They say every empire falls and it always seems like the empires crumble from within. Whether or not it's true, hopefully, Grey's Anatomy isn't going the same way.

Katherine Heigl is now making more money than Ellen Pompeo (the show's title character, Meredith Grey), becoming one of the highest paid actresses in TV drama history, even while ratings for all primetime shows are dropping across all major networks. While Sandra Oh pulls in the awards, someone else is getting the cash. Are we setting the stage for more offscreen drama after next season to get this ensemble cast back together again?

Well, I guess this means that T.R. Knight [George] is coming back.
