Paris Hilton begins serving her 23 day jail sentence for parole violations.

At least it's made clear that Hilton is not exactly living the life of a typical inmate. Clearly, I can't imagine it being cool to go to jail, but it must be even less cool when you're used to being the most famous heiress on the planet. Imagine going from silk sheets, maids, and zen-inspired scented candles while carrying around your dog in a Chanel bag to living a jail cell for 23 days.

Is anyone else shocked that she's actually going to jail? Don't lawyers always get the big stars out of jail time?

The funny thing is that normal people would probably be worried about trying to secure employment after serving jail time. Somehow, I feel like that thought is pretty far from Paris Hilton's mind.
