I'm relieved because it looks like that dot was not a mole and was just a blood clot. It was holding a lot of goodies and it hurts a little to type with that finger, but at least it's red and not black now.

Let's talk sports for a minute.

Just wanted to send my well wishes out to Juan Encarnacion of the St. Louis Cardinals who was inadvertently hit by a foul ball while standing in the on deck circle just days ago. Encarnacion's eye socket was broken numerous times and it looks like it's unlikely that he'll ever play again. Here's to a speedy recovery just for life, aside from baseball, and I hope that he somehow finds his way back to play the game he loves!

Worst luck ever. Get well soon, Senor Encarnacion!

In USC news, former USC wideout and friend o' mine Chris McFoy was released, then immediately re-signed with the Oakland Raiders onto the practice squad. Congrats on staying in the league, Chris!
One of my favorite USC players of all time Darnell Bing (and just a good guy) experienced a similar situation where he was cut by the 49ers (after being cut by the Raiders earlier this summer) only to get signed to the 49ers practice squad.
Former USC punter and another friend o'mine Tom Malone was released by the New England Patriots.

Best of luck to all the guys as they try and make their mark in "the league." It's so crazy how hard it is to make it in the NFL when our guys are getting cut and doing work on the practice squad. Hang in there guys and good luck to all the rest!

This was one of the best years of my life.

Watching guys like Keary, Marcell, and Will Poole making plays out there and seeing LenDale just running wild on guys that year almost brings me to tears sometimes. It was the first year of a long three years for me, but one of the best times I've ever had.

i cannot believe how sick that team was. you look at that video and it's unreal... and LenDale and Reggie were FRESHMEN that year. that's just amazing. it's really not that surprising that we only lost two games in three years. We were lucky to be there, huh?
